We only collect what you choose to send us through the enquiry form on this site, and we use it for one thing: replying to you. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not use it to advertise to you. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

Who we are

Social Currency Marketing Co. is a marketing studio based in San Diego, California. This policy covers this website. If you have a question about it, email naliyah@socialcurrency.co or use the Let’s chat form.

What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form, we receive what you typed into it:

• Your name and email address
• Your brand name, and your website and social links if you give them
• What you are looking for, whether you have an in-house marketing team, your budget range and your timeline
• What you are trying to do, and how you heard about us

Every field except your email, and the details needed to respond sensibly, is yours to leave blank. Please do not send sensitive personal information through this form.

Like almost every website, the server that hosts this site keeps standard technical logs, which include your IP address, browser type and the pages you requested. These are used to keep the site running and secure.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry, to prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and to keep a record of our correspondence. If we start working together, we will use your contact details to run the engagement. We will not add you to a marketing list because you filled in this form.

Who else sees it

We do not sell or share your personal information, and we have not done so in the past twelve months. We do use ordinary business services that handle data on our behalf, such as email and file storage, and those providers may process your information in order to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Your browser stores one small value, which records that you have seen the opening screen so it does not replay while you browse. It is deleted when you close the tab and it identifies nobody.

Two outside services are used to display the site: Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, and Cloudflare’s public code library supplies the animation code. When your browser fetches those files, those companies receive your IP address, as they would for any site that uses them.

Case study pages embed videos hosted on YouTube. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player, which does not set advertising cookies unless you press play — but YouTube receives your IP address when the player loads, and will set its own cookies if you watch. Those cookies are Google’s, not ours.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we might reasonably need them, and no longer than three years after our last contact, unless you become a client or the law requires us to keep records for longer. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email naliyah@socialcurrency.co and we will respond. We will not treat you differently for asking.

If you are a California resident, state law gives you the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request a copy, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the other rights are yours and the email address above is how to use them.

Children

This site is meant for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please use your judgement about what you send through a web form.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
